Method of Smart Little People (MSLP)

The Method of Smart Little People (MSLP) utilises a ‘pictorial’ idea generation approach. It engages a user in sketching ‘troops’ of smart little people that solve the problem.

Interestingly, many famous designers have used similar techniques. They sketched numerous possible solutions to problems they encountered and were able to find elegant ways to solve their problems.

Below is a video explanation of the MSLP heuristics, presented by Professor Iouri Belski. This video takes about 16 minutes.
